The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is an indepentent organization which is established by architecture and design students, looking for different programs, events and resources about architecture and architectural education. Their mission as it is cited on their web page is  “to promote excellence in architectural education, training, and practice; to foster an appreciation of architecture and related disciplines; to enrich communities in a spirit of collaboration; and to organize students and combine their efforts to advance the art and science of architecture.” They describe their formation as “sole student voice”. Every year they organize meetings and programs in a different city. They arrange forum and meeting programs which take 3 days and contains workshop, lecture, networking, career, and fun activities. They collaborate with The American Institute of Architects (AIA), The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA), The National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB) and The National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
